A Day Trip to Jasper Cropsey Studio and Untermeyer Gardens
Up to 12 guests chauffeur driven van to visit the home and studio of Hudson River Painter Jasper Cropsey in Hastings-on-Hudson. Waterfront Lunch at Harvest on Hudson.
After lunch, visit the Newington-Cropsey Foundation Gallery of Art, housing a collection of Cropsey’s works. Then, travel north to Yonkers for a private guided tour of the Untermeyer Gardens overlooking the Hudson River. The Gardens, designed in 1915 by Beaux Arts architect Welles Bosworth were inspired by the great Indo-Persian gardens of antiquity. In the 1920’s-30’s, these gardens were visited by as many as 30,00 people per day. |

Frances Palmer is a Silvermine guild artist and well-known ceramist whose beautiful pots, plates and vases have graced the pages of Martha Stewart Living, Elle Decor, and Vogue. Frances started creating pottery 25 years ago. Her shapes are sculptural, whimsical, elegant, and clearly handmade. The goal she sets for her work is to be both functional and artful. She enjoys the hand-thrown process; it takes from four days to two weeks to make each of her considered pieces. Item #22
