As Silvermine celebrates its 95th anniversary this year, we honor four award-winning nationally and internationally acclaimed visual artists who have placed art education at the heart of their endeavors. They personify Silvermine's long standing tradition as a premiere arts center where artists of all ages are educated, supported and honored.

Legacy Award Recipient

Ann Weiner

Philanthropist, Conceptual Artist, former Board member
​ and Guild member since 1997. Founder and sponsor of the Woodworking studio and education program.​

Bonnie Ford Woit

Painter, Printmaker, Outreach Artist, former Board member and Guild member since 1972.  Founder of the Institute for Visual Artists, a monthly lecture series at Silvermine​for artists in the region.

Alberta Cifolelli

Painter, Printmaker, prominent lifelong Art Educator, former Board member and Guild member since 1974.  Chair of the Institute for Visual Artists from 1989-2001.
